  12. I am experiencing a problem that has me puzzled.  When a Supra 14.4
  13. fax modem tries to connect to a Multitech MT2834MR I sometimes get a
  14. short negotiation sequence and then a continuous tone.  The connection
  15. fails but if I try again it usually works OK which makes me suspect a
  16. line problem.  I have looked closely at the bank of MT2834MRs and see
  17. no obvious problem unless maybe a marginal level problem.
